, good night. breaking news out of san jo. right now the san jose city is on lockdown >>> good evening, i'm elizabeth cook. >> i'm ken bastida. we have breaking news out of san jose. the san jose city college campus is on lockdown after unconfirmed reports of a gunman on campus. these are pictures from chopper 5 over the school now. campus police say the school has been locked down since 4:30 this afternoon. someone had record a person with a gun on -- reported a person with a gun on campus. people were ordered to close and lock doors and stay in. campus police say they are doing a room-by-room search of san jose city college but they have not confirmed that there ever is or was a gunman. they wouldn't confir it. earlier a professor said there are classes in the library with hundreds of people. we are keeping an eye on this. roads are shut down at bascomb and moorpark avenues around san jose city college and that's the situation right now. and we are keeping an eye on it and we'll report if we have any updates for you. >>> the tragedy in newtown, connecticut is spurring a national push

notice oklahoma city. even during the morning hours, a mix, switching to snowfall. there's wednesday. areas in purple with a chance of even some freezing rain and might be accumulating freezing rain. southwestern p.a. wednesday in to thursday. again, another big travel day. this is the timing of this system is very difficult. there's a look at it with rain in to southeastern new england. snow interior northeast. how much snow? we're saying high impact event. oklahoma city switching to snow tomorrow morning, 6 to 12 inches in the pink swath in indiana, and indianapolis and some of this snow coming late tonight, a little bit in northern pennsylvania and winds up, there's the total storm forecast of 6 to 12 inches. a huge part of interior and northern new england and certainly back in to the add n adirondacks. the thing to really know about is the potential for tornadoes. and it, of course, begins tonight with an isolated threat but working in to tomorrow, christmas day, most people aren't thinking about the weather but make sure you have a way to get the warnings here. everywhere in

succeeded in pushing the army out of a lot of cities however that just means the army goes in with their artillery, their air force and destroys with whatever they can. the rebels for their part still badly outgunned are doing better, they are becoming more organized. they're getting weapons from qatar and other gulf countries to keep the pressure up on president assad. actions speak a whole lot louder than words here in the middle east. and one of syria's only allies, russia, has stood behind them at least in the diplomatic speak but we just learned russia is sending warships to off the syrian coast there in the mediterranean sea potentially to evacuate russian civilians if things continue to deteriorate inside syria. which does tell you, jenna, people inside syria and also inside the russian government are making at least contingency plans for the demise of the assad regime. jenna. jenna: we'll continue to watch it. level land, thank you. jon: one of hollywood's biggest stars expected to testify today on capitol hill. so what do you think brings ben affleck to washington?
